 Infant sleeping bags

The perfect way to keep your child warm and safe The Safer Alternative to Crib Blankets.

This wonderful "wearable blanket" eliminates the danger created by loose crib blankets, yet keeps your baby warm and comfy. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, loose blankets can bunch up around baby's face and cause re-breathing of oxygen-depleted air - a suspected cause of SIDS. The solution: this European Style Sleeping bag that slips right over baby's sleeper for a blanket's worth of warmth, without the risk. Sleeveless for extra safety. Available in summer and winter, with side zippers or front zipper, both long enough to make for easy diaper changes without disturbing your baby. Since the sleeping bag is adjustable in length, one size fits your baby from infant all the way up to about 2 years or more, depending on your childs size.

Giving your baby what they are used to from the womb.

Now, my guess is you never heard of a Pucksack before. Well, neither had I until a friend from Germany asked me to make her one. While I was trying to figure out what they are, I learned that Pucksacks have been used in Germany for many many years to keep babies happy. They are somewhat related to swaddling, but with less restrictions.
The theory behind a Pucksack is simple: dress your baby in a onesie, with no pants or socks, and instead put her in a Pucksack. The ribbing is keeping the pucksack nice and snug, but not tight around baby's chest. The bag allows for a somewhat confined movement of the legs, just like babies were used to in mommies tummy. Since they are not wearing any pants, they can feel their naked legs rubbing agains one another, which has a calming effect on babies.
The bags are make so that no rough seams are on the inside. They come in different warmth, so pick accordingly.

Tutus are not just for balet classes anymore, they are gaining in popularity for first pictures, birthdays, dress up or just plain old fun. My tutus can be made with pretty much any color combination you might have in mind, from single colors up to 6 different colors.
They can be any lengths, and made to fit from newborn to adults, from above the knee to ankle length.
In short, the varieties are endless.

Rice Pillows

The most versatile soothing comfort relief item you ever owned

These pillows are filled with rice, and are perfect for many different uses.
Just throw them in the microwave for 1-3 minutes and prewarm your childs bed on a cold winter night.
Feeling your backmuscles after carrying your baby all day? Put them on your back and you will feel the soothing warm relief. I love them for menstrual cramps as well.
Since they only cool down rather than warm up more after being warmed up, they are safe to take to bed, unlike electrical blankets. Use them for muscle pain, menstrual cramps, labor discomfort, warming a bed in the winter and many other things.
If desired, I add lavender or vanilla aroma to the rice, giving the pillow a wonderful smell.
The pillow case is removable and machine washable in the, giving your rice pillows a longer life than the ones you find at the mall.
They come in different sizes, colors and materials, so check them out.

If you are the parent of a child with autism, sensory issues, ADD/ADHD, Asperger's and many more, you might or might now know about the benefits of weighted blankets, vests, scarfs, lap pads and simple bean bags.
According to the "In Your Pocket™” website (our products are not related) "Weighted Vests were designed to provide proprioceptive input (the unconscious awareness of sensations coming from receptors in one's joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments) and deep pressure to add weight to the body in the hopes that this will give the child's body enough delay time in their thought process to calm and make logical sense of their environment. Weighted Vests also help with the position sense and body awareness through the sense of touch. The weights are evenly distributed around the body and help the child become aware of their body and its movements."

If you look around on their website, you can find many other very beneficial resources regarding weighted items. You also find a very steep price for their items.
My items might not be as high tech, I use rice rather than special pellets, but they are made with love and understanding, and are at the perfect price to try something that might or might not work for your child.
